With educators increasingly seeking I&T solutions to enhance the dynamics of learning, teaching, and school administration, Cyberport returned to the Learning & Teaching Expo 2023 with 28 community EdTech start-ups. They presented a diverse array of technologies and solutions aimed at providing primary and secondary school educators with a comprehensive set of tools and solutions to promote smarter teaching and more effective learning.
The showcased technologies included solutions utilising big data and AI to assist students in identifying suitable educational, vocational, and career pathways. An innovative online-merge-offline learning platform, containing teaching resources from both local and international publishers, was presented. Additionally, interactive learning kits for creating Smart Living mobile apps, game-based platforms enhancing STEAM education, and creative tools for AI, AR, VR, and Web3 projects were highlighted to meet the demand for experiential learning.
Smart-school management solutions, tailored courses in STEAM, DeepTech, and I&T for teachers, and an AI-powered microlearning platform offering personalised short courses were also featured.
Recognising the evolving landscape of EdTech, Cyberport organised EdTech seminars during the expo, covering topics such as AI applications and learning solutions tailored for children with special educational needs.
Ir Eric Chan, Chief Public Mission Officer of Cyberport, underscored the organisation’s commitment to EdTech and highlighted the extensive range of solutions provided by Cyberport’s 180 EdTech start-ups. Emphasising collaborative efforts between schools, social welfare organisations, and EdTech start-ups within Cyberport’s I&T ecosystem, he stated that the goal is to achieve win-win outcomes that advance the education sector and foster growth for innovative start-ups.
